CANTON -- Cornell Cooperative Extension hosts a 4-H open house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 7 at the Extension Learning Farm, 2043B State Highway 68 in Canton.

It is a chance to learn more about 4-H in St. Lawrence County and the many fun projects, activities, and programs that 4-H has to offer.

Local 4-H club members, volunteers, and staff will provide activities for youth such as archery, wilderness explorations, interactive science experiments, seed planting, and animal demonstrations.

There will also be baby animals, baby chicks, and more.

It is free.

There will be opportunity to purchase maple syrup, cotton candy, popcorn, and items at a silent auction.

All proceeds will go towards supporting the St. Lawrence County 4-H program.

People may also participate in the Healthy Food Drive by donating non-perishable foods that will be distributed to local food banks.
