POTSDAM -- SUNY Potsdam will host the renowned Core Ensemble for a performance of the chamber musical theater work, "Ain't I a Woman!" Wednesday, March 7 at 7 p.m. in the Dunn Theatre. "Ain't I a Woman!" celebrates the life and times of four powerful African American women.
The work focuses on renowned novelist and anthropologist Zora Neale Hurston, ex-slave and fiery abolitionist Sojourner Truth, exuberant folk artist Clementine Hunter and fervent civil rights worker Fannie Lou Hamer.
This program is free and open to the public, and is handicapped accessible.
