POTSDAM -- The North Country Children's Museum presents “Construction Zone” Saturday, Sept. 23 from 12:30 until 2 p.m. at the University Bookstore, Market Street. The event features an interactive wall where kids can choose pipes to fit together to create interconnecting tubes.
Kids then run balls through their tubing to see how their designs work. After, they can try their hand at hooking together an electrical circuit to switch lights on and off. Children will learn hands-on science and functional design through this program. Workshop taught by Hugo Atteman and is geared toward kids grades K-5. The cost is $10 per child. Sign up for the whole season for a 20 percent discount.
Register: clear@potsdam.edu or 315-267-2167. Walk-ins welcome if space is available. Caregivers are required to stay during the program. Need based discounts available. More info: info@northcountrychildrensmuseum.org.
