Concert series continues at St. Lawrence University in Canton

CANTON -- Noon in the Chapel will be held Friday, Sept. 18, at 12:15 p.m. at Gunnison Memorial Chapel.

St. Lawrence University’s concert series will begin the 2015-16 season with music for the High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

The concert will feature Sondra Goldsmith Proctor, St. Lawrence’s organist and musician-in-residence, playing the 1926 Estey Pipe Organ as well as the Ad Hoc Singers Julia Pomainville and Alexandra Jacobs Wilke. The musical selection will include “The Burning Bush” by Herman Berlinski and sung works from the Jewish tradition. The concert is free and open to the public.

Parking is available in the H-Lot across from the Griffiths Arts Center and next to Vilas Hall. There also will be a drop-off location and limited handicapped parking spaces in front of Richardson Hall. Visit www.stlawu.edu/campus-map for an interactive map of the campus.
