MASSENA -- Comrades of Hope and Dr. Sally White will present a free Narcan (naloxone) training event on Jan. 29 at 2 p.m. at the Massena Community Center, 61 Beach St.
No medical knowledge is necessary.
Participants will receive a free kit.
Naloxone, which is sometimes marketed under the name brand Narcan, is an opiate overdose antidote that is given as a nasal spray. It can revive someone from an overdose of heroin, oxycodone, fentanyl, hydrocodone, morphine and other opiates and opioids.
Comrades of Hope is a support group for loved ones of addicts.
