CANTON – People looking for ideas on how to weatherize their homes are invited to Community Weatherization Day 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1 at the St. Lawrence County Community Development Program Office, 1 Commerce Lane.
The Weatherization Department is for homeowners and renters to make their home more energy efficient, save energy dollars, increase comfort in the home, reduce dependence on foreign oil, and revitalize neighborhoods by improving housing stock. There are income guidelines to participate in the program.
Participants in Weatherization Day will have the opportunity to see insulation and air leakage demonstrations. There will be refreshments served, giveaways, and a free energy audit door prize for one lucky participant.
