DEKALB JUNCTION -- The 16th annual DeKalb Junction Community Lawn Sale, also featuring face painting, a barbecue, volleyball tournament and other events, will take place Saturday, June 2, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event is sponsored by the DeKalb Junction Chamber of Commerce, which will offer free face painting and balloons.
The DeKalb Junction Volunteer Fire Deptartment will serve a chicken and pork barbecue beginning at 2 p.m. The department is also sponsoring a co-ed volleyball tournament; for information, contact Stacey Denesha at 347-5388.
The Grad Night 2012 Committee will operate a refreshment stand and AmVets Post 11 is planning a bake sale and sidewalk sale.
Space for yard sales will be available for free, adjacent to the post office. The fire department also has spaces to rent in the fire hall for $10 for those wishing to set up a yard sale there.
On Sunday, June 3, the DeKalb Junction United Methodist Church is having an Ice Cream Social on June 3, 12 PM. The public is invited.
