GOUVERNEUR – Jodie Regan from the St. Lawrence Health Initiative will be at the Gouverneur Central School high school to do health screenings for employees and any member of the community from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3.
They will be offering the following screenings free of charge.
--Cholesterol
--Blood sugar
--Blood pressure
--% of body fat (BMI)
The Health Initiative’s Access to Care Program will pay for limited diagnostic testing and care for uninsured residents who have a positive finding at the screening event.
Follow up care is provided through participating physicians and with local hospitals providing any diagnostic testing.
Each person that comes in and gets their Health Screening done will be able to put their name in for a drawing for an insulated sport lunch bag, a Laguan reversible tote, a t-shirt that says “Color My World—Hearth Healthy! as well as a “Make Every Beat Count" Spinning Heart metal key tag, and a 28 oz. translucent water bottle that features “I love to wear Red” slogan.
