The St. Lawrence County Arts Council will hold a Community Gallery Project Art Walk Friday, May 10 through Potsdam and Canton.
The walk will begin at 4 p.m. in Canton and 5 p.m. in Potsdam.
The Community Gallery Project will turn the walls of area businesses, public buildings, and restaurants into galleries.
Community Gallery Project businesses will host artist receptions and musicians from the Ives Park Music Family Festival will play at some locations.
“This is a fabulous opportunity to celebrate the work of area artists in surprising places. We are thrilled to see so many people involved in building community through the arts,” said Executive Director Rebekah Wilkins-Pepiton.
Artwork will be featured at the Spicy Iguana, Nature’s Storehouse, Josie’s Little Pizzeria, The Club and the St. Lawrence University library in Canton.
Artists will be present at The Alchemistress, Aerus, Josie’s Pizzeria II, Wear on Earth, Creative Spirit, Maple Run Emporium, SLC Arts Gallery, Harris Medical, Northern Interiors, First Crush Bistro, the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce, the Potsdam IGA, Canton-Potsdam Hospital and Plumley Real Estate in Potsdam.
Look for the bright yellow “Community Gallery Project” sign.
