CANTON – The next Community Conversation on Poverty meeting will be held Monday, Sept. 25, from 3:30-5 p.m. in the basement meeting room of the Canton Free Library.
Matilda Larson with the St. Lawrence County Fair Housing Task Force will discuss information about the Federal Fair Housing Act, which will help promote awareness that housing discrimination is illegal.
Maximizing Independent Living Choices (MILC) will talk about their Solutions to End Homelessness Program (STEHP), which assists eligible households at risk of homelessness to obtain housing stability.
The meeting is free and the public is invited to attend.
