POTSDAM -- Tickets are available for “Comedies and Classics: A Night of Lighthearted Fun,” which will be held Saturday, May 12, at 7 p.m. in the Proscenium Theater at SUNY Potsdam’s Performing Arts Center.

The St. Lawrence NYSARC players will present Allison Williams’ Hamlette, a modern comedic take on Shakespeare’s classic tragedy. The dance group will perform classic Americana dance pieces ranging from the Ragtime era, to American Broadway, to Modern Country. The show will last about an hour and a half with a 15-minute intermission.

Tickets cost $6 for adults, students/seniors tickets cost $4, and tickets for children four and under are $2. Contact Kolby Weaver to reserve seats at kweaver@slnysarc.org or 315-386-3529; or buy tickets at the door.

St. Lawerence NYSARC is holding an “Art Mixer” prior to the performance from 5 to 7 p.m. in the lobby of the PAC Theater. The public is invited to view artwork created by nearly 40 different artists supported through arts programs.

This fundraiser and art display is free and open to the public. Enjoy entertainment by Art Mixer host, Barb Heller from North County Public Radio. Meet the artists, actors, and dancers, visit the sailent auction, and shop for hand-crafted products made by people with disabilities.

Items from GOAL and Crafts & Such will be on hand and ready to purchase.

Refreshments will be provided and there will also be a cash bar on site.
