COLTON -- The Hepburn Library will be presenting “Lewis Lobdell Hepburn and the Hepburn Rifle” as part of the Hepburn Lecture Series on Sept. 13 at the Town Hall Museum.
The program will be presented by Mary Jane Watson at 7 p.m.
Lewis Lobdell Hepburn was born in Colton in 1832, where he began gunsmithing. He later worked for Remington Arms and the Marlin Firearm Company. He died in 1914.
