COLTON -- Labor Day events in Colton during Labor Day weekend include whitewater kayaking Aug. 31 and Sept. 2.
A tent will be set up and staffed by volunteers at the trailhead on Riverside Drive in Colton just past the Fire Station.
They will have a variety of free information including updated brochures with maps of the Raquette River and Stone Valley published by Brookfield.
They will be selling Colton t-shirts at the tent and at the Colton information center in the Museum on Main Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Colt’s Pride Booster Club will sell hotdogs.
Restroom facilities are available at both the Museum.
