RUSSELL -- Families in need of winter gear for their children can get them for free on Oct. 11.
“Coats for Kids” is slated from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Russell United Methodist Church, 28 Pestle St.
The church is seeking donations of new or gently used coats, boots, mittens and other winter apparel.
Monetary donations can be sent to Teena Dafoe, 371 Pyrites-Russell Road, Hermon, NY 13652.
