OGDENSBURG – The Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Auxiliary’s Run For The Green Derby Dash 5K Fun Run/Walk is set for Thursday, May 10, rain or shine.

Registration is at the Dobisky Visitors' Center at 4:45 p.m.

Walkers start out at 5:45 p.m. on the Maple City Trail. Runners start at 6 p.m. The run/walk will not be timed.

There will be water stations along the route provided by CHMC Auxiliary members.

Registration is $10 for ages 12 and under and $15 for ages 13 and older.

Wearing your best derby hat is encouraged. Judging of the hats is at 5:30 p.m.

CHMC Auxiliary Gift Shop Gift Certificates will be awarded for Dapper Dan: Best Gents Hat; Too Hot to Trot: Best Ladies Hat; Hat-A-Tude: Best Handmade/Upcycled Hat; Ride Em: Best Horse Themed Hat; Feather Fun: Best Use of Feathers; and Colt & Filly: Best Child’s Hat, one for a boy and one for a girl.

CHMC Auxiliary Members will also be there selling “Run For The Green” raffle tickets at $10 each. First Prize is $2,000, sponsored by CHMC Auxiliary, Second Prize is $1,000, sponsored by St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union. Third Prize, $500, is sponsored by SeaComm. Only 800 tickets will be sold. Drawing will be held Friday, June 29.

The net proceeds from the run/walk registrations and the raffle will benefit the Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Auxiliary.
