POTSDAM -- The Clarkson University Department of Physician Assistant (PA) Studies will hold an open house on Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 4 to 6 p.m. in celebration of PA Week.

Celebrated every year, PA Week celebrates the impact PAs have made and continue to make in health care, expands awareness of the profession, and salutes the growth of the PA profession.

The Clarkson community, local medical community, and general public will be able to meet the Physician Assistant Studies students and faculty and tour the facility.

Highlights of the tour will include the anatomy lab and the physical diagnosis lab, featuring the department’s simulated patient.

Current members of the master of physician assistant studies class will be also available to discuss their training and answer questions.

Clarkson's Physician Assistant Studies is located on the first floor of Clarkson Hall at 59 Main St.

Physician assistants (PAs) are licensed health professionals who practice medicine as members of a team with supervising physicians.

Clarkson's program is a 28-month course of study granting a master of science degree in physician assistant studies.
