POTSDAM – The Clarkson Theatre Company announces their fall production, “The Drowsy Chaperone,” Thursday, Oct. 21 and Friday, Oct. 22 at 8 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 23 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., at Downtown Old Snell Auditorium.
This 2006 winner of 5 Tony awards (including Best Book and Best Original Score) is a hilarious show of a musical within a comedy. An old man reminisces about his love of theatre by playing his records, including his favorite show The Drowsy Chaperone, and the show comes to life in his living room for him and the audience to enjoy.
The show is directed by Rebecca Adams and music directed by Jess Petersen, both CTC mainstays, and the cast and crew come from Clarkson University, SUNY Potsdam, and St. Lawrence University.
Tickets are $6 for students and seniors and $8 for adult admission. To reserve tickets, email theatre@clarkson.edu.
