POTSDAM -- Stanley Maine will speak about Potsdam's 92nd Infantry Regiment Sunday, Jan. 29, at 2 p.m. at the Potsdam Public Museum, 2 Park St.
The Civil War Roundtable program is part of the St. Lawrence County Historical Association’s Commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.
The 92nd was the third full regiment raised mostly in the county and served from October 1861 through December 1865.
The formation and training of the regiment was due to the efforts of General Jonah Sanford, a Hopkinton resident and veteran of the War of 1812.
