POTSDAM – The film “Personal Shopper” starring Kristen Stewart will be the next featured movie of the Cinema 10 film series at the Roxy Theater Oct. 30.
An ethereal and mysterious ghost story, “Personal Shopper,” directed by Olivier Assayas, stars Stewart as Maureen, a young American living in Paris and working as a high-fashion personal shopper to the stars.
She is also a spiritual medium and, grieving the recent death of her twin brother, haunts his Parisian home, determined to make contact with him.
When her celebrity employer is murdered, her life takes a complicated turn.
Receiving awards at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, “Personal Shopper” has drawn comparisons to Alfred Hitchcock.
The Guardian called the film "uncategorisable yet undeniably terrifying."
The 105 minute film is rated R for language, sexuality, nudity and a bloody violent image.
