POTSDAM -- Cinema 10’s second to last film of the season will be “Hannah Arendt” Monday, Nov. 18 at 7:15 p.m. at the Roxy Theater.
The film focuses on four years of German-Jewish political theorist Hannah Arendt’s life. Arendt was assigned to cover Nazi officer Adolf Eichmann’s 1961 trial in Jerusalem for “The New Yorker.”
Arendt’s reporting argued for the ordinariness of Eichmann as a person, or “the banality of evil,” and suggested some Jewish leaders had cooperated with Nazi deportations.
Her argument proved controversial and alienated her readers and friends.
Tickets are $4.50 for general admission or $3.50 for seniors and students.
