POTSDAM -- Cinema 10 presents “Dope” on Monday, Nov. 16, at the Potsdam Roxy Theater, 20 Main St. at 7:15 p.m.
This coming of age comedy/drama focuses on Malcolm, a geeky high school senior with Harvard aspirations, who gets invited to an underground party in his tough neighborhood in Inglewood, CA.
The ensuing events lead to drug dealing, seduction and blackmail as Malcolm struggles to get what he wants, in “a comedy of social expectation that plays like an exhilarating gift” said Peter Travers of Rolling Stone.
The film is 103 minutes and is rated R for language, drug content, sexuality/nudity and some violence, all involving teens.
Tickets are $3.50 for students and seniors and $4.50 for general admission.
