POTSDAM -- Cinema 10 continues Monday, Nov. 14, with “A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence,” at 7:15 p.m. at the Roxy Theater, 20 Main St.

The film is rated PG-13 for brief sexuality and disturbing images. The film is 101 minutes.

In this dark comedy/drama, director Roy Andersson resumes his theme of “being a human being,” following Songs from the Second Floor and You, The Living, the first two films of this trilogy.

Pigeon presents a series of people in a number of bizarre or dream-like situations with a tone of absurd comedic despair.

Rene Rodriquez of The Miami Herald says, “Andersson isn’t about obvious answers or metaphors. This iconic filmmaker seduces you with ridiculous laughs, then sends you home contemplating your mortality and your place in the world.”

Tickets are $4.50 for general admission or $35 per season. Tickets for students and seniors are $3.50.

The final Cinema 10 screening is slated for Nov. 28, and will be “Chimes at Midnight,” which is not rated and is 115 minutes long.
