POTSDAM -- Cinema 10 kicks off its spring 2015 season Monday, Feb. 9, with a screening of "The Lunchbox", at the Potsdam Roxy Theater, 20 Main St., at 7:15 p.m.
Tickets are $3.50individual/$25 season tickets for students and seniors, and $4.50 individuals/$35 season tickets for general admission.
The film follows lonely housewife Ila (Nimrat Kaur) and widower Saajan (Irrfan Khan), who are brought together when the lunches she lovingly cooks for her adulterous husband are misdelivered to Saajan. After discovering the error, the two begin passing notes in the container, joined in an epistolary and culinary correspondence. Clearly toying with the conventions of romantic comedies, The Lunchbox walks on the edge of the saccharine, usually managing to pull back before things get too sweet.
