'Christmas Along the River,' 'Shop Local Saturday' set for Saturday in Morristown

MORRISTOWN – “Christmas Along the River” will be held on Saturday, Nov. 28, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. in conjunction with "Shop Local Saturday" where several area artists will host open houses and studio tours.

Deborah Monteith, 406 Main St., will offer her original jewelry designs and "wrap and tuck" bracelets. There will be a showcasing of wood oil lamps crafted by Ed Basta.

Melanie Connor, 3475 River Rd., will be open from noon until 5 p.m. She has a large selection of handmade soap, whipped body creams, clay bowls and jewelry.

Scott Ouderkirk, 293 River Rd. in Hammond, will show his created and restores stained glass. The Morristown library will host Bridge Creek Cottages, handmade wreaths and Trudell Photographics.

Mare's Ware, 3938 State Highway 37, will showcase functional stoneware pottery, raku, and seasonal fresh trees and wreaths.

Artists at Mare's Ware will include Melanie Kimber Lago of Cat House Design (fiber art); Gary Pierce, wooden bowls and rolling pins; Karan Cross of Wild Side jewelry; Barb Briggs, author; along with June Ross, Ethel Slocum, Mary Harding and Sally Hartman.
