CHIPPEWA BAY -- The fourth Chippewa Bay Poker Run is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 19, from 8 a.m.-noon at Schermerhorn Harbor, with various check-points at islands in Chippewa Bay.

An awards ceremony will be held following the poker run at Foster’s Harbor Inn. Grand prizes for the top three poker hands (adult and minor divisions) will be distributed. Prizes include an overnight stay at Historic Singer Castle’s Royal Suite, Sea-Doo GTI Sea Scooter donated by Vintage Doors, giant inflatable floating island for up to six people, a remote control boat and an inner-tube filled with river goods donated by Schermerhorn Harbor. Door prizes will also be available, as well as kayak raffle tickets.

Chippewa Breeze will provide live entertainment and there will be food, drinks and more.

Online registration savings have been extend until Aug. 10 at VisitHammondNY.com.

By pre-registering paddlers will receive $5 off admission plus a free 2016 event t-shirt.

Registration is still available after Aug. 10, as well as on event day starting at 8 a.m., at $35 for adults and $25 for kids.

The event is hosted by the Foundation for Community Betterment and volunteers in the Hammond area who want to promote tourism and business awareness in the community (VisitHammondNY.com).
