CHIPPEWA BAY -- Chippewa Bay Community Club’s Friday Evening Backyard Concert Series continues as Blue Country entertains in the Club's backyard at 1172 County Route 6 on Friday, July 19, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
The concert is free and open to the public; concertgoers are advised to bring a lawn chair.
The band consists of LaFargeville area members of the St. Lawrence Valley Bluegrass Association who have played bluegrass and old-time country music together for many years along with many original songs written by band member, Ray Drake.
Members of the group include: Patty Drake on bass, Dick Bartlett on mandolin, guitar, fiddle and vocals, Ray Drake on vocals and guitar, Bob Stewart on guitar, fiddle and vocals, John DeBoalt on dobro,guitar and vocals, and Jillian Drake on vocals.
This summer's concert funding is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, administered by the St. Lawrence County Arts Council.
