MADRID -- Scotch Presbyterian Church, Madrid, will hold its 57th annual chicken barbecue on the church grounds in Chipman on Saturday, Sept. 8.
This year’s proceeds will benefit the new building fund for the local Madrid thrift store and food pantry, New Beginnings. They have pledged $3,000 of proceeds to support building a new structure to house the New Beginnings Thrift Store in Madrid.
Serving begins at 4 p.m., both takeout and dining-in. Dinner will include barbecued chicken, salt potatoes, coleslaw, rolls, beverage and pie. Cost is $9 adults $4 for children and $6 for a half.
