POTSDAM -- The North Country Children's Museum is sponsoring baking adventure from 12:30 to 2 p.m. April 25 at the at the Potsdam Food Co-op’s Carriage House Bakery, 24 Elm St.
Baker Chris Affre will lead children in a discussion of the magic of baking and the importance of healthy, nutritious ingredients. The real fun begins when kids get to create their own culinary masterpieces. After they are finished building their little feasts, into the wood-fired oven they go.
There will be time for questions and answers, and for cleaning-up, which is part of the process.
The best is saved for last, when the children get to eat what they made by themselves, for themselves.
Kids are asked to bring their own smocks or a shirt that can get messy and a hat. The bakery provides gloves.
Parents are welcomed, and encouraged, to stay with their children.
