OGDENSBURG -- A “Change the World” conference will be held at Grace Covenant Church, 7 Laboda Lane, March 8 through March 10.
The conference aims to encourage actively “rebuilding, restoring and renewing the lives of broken people” rather than passively waiting for the world to change.
In addition to prayer and worship, the conference will feature presentations and talks as well as breakout sessions.
The ministry partners for the event are Emma Schneider, Africa; Michael Mears, New Zealand and the Pacific; David Sgro, Guatemala; Mike and Sarah Traylor, Philippines and the Seaway Youth for Christ, St. Lawrence County.
The full schedule will be:
Friday, March 8th
• 6:30 - 7 p.m. Welcome and praise and worship
• 7 - 7:30 p.m. p.m. Message / presentation by David Sgro, Go! Ministries
• 7:30 - 8 p.m. Break out and tour ministry partner’s displays
Saturday, March 9th
• 2 - 2:30 p.m. Welcome and praise and worship
• 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. Local Missions Breakout Sessions
• Kids on Mission Explore how children and their families can get involved and feel empowered to be missional movements. Families are encouraged to bring their own stories and ideas for getting involved.
• Helping Your Neighbors Explore opportunities for Outreach. How do you see yourself helping your neighbors? Individuals are encouraged to bring their own ideas for Outreach.
• Deploying Teens on Mission Youth group will discuss their outreaches and have an open dialogue about the impact of youth on mission.
• 3:30 - 4 p.m. Seaway Youth for Christ Presentation
• 4 - 4:30 p.m. “How has Grace been on Mission Locally?” Presentation
• 4:30 - 5 p.m. Q & A with David Sgro, Go! Ministries
• 5 - 5:30 p.m. Advancing the Kingdom Message
• 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Celebration Dinner
Sunday, March 10th
• 10 – 11:30 a.m. Service and sermon by David Sgro, Go! Ministries
• 11:30 am. Break out and tour our ministry partners' displays
