CANTON – The St. Lawrence County Historical Association, 3 East Main St., will offer chair-caning workshops Wednesdays March 7, 14 and 21 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Carl Stickney, instructor for the workshop, has decades of experience in chair caning.
Participants in the workshop should bring a chair with the old caning removed. It is expected that participants will be able to complete the caning of one chair during the course of the workshop.
Chairs that need to be caned are available through the SLCHA for a small fee.
The workshop fee is $38 for historical association members and $48 for nonmembers. Caning materials are included in the cost of the workshop.
