MORRISTOWN -- The tenth annual Pat Ceresoli Spaghetti Dinner will be held at the Morristown Fire Hall Friday, Aug. 17 beginning at 4:30 p.m., to benefit the Morristown Gateway Museum.
The cost, which has remained the same for several years, is $7 for adults, and $5 for children under 12. It is the museum’s biggest fund-raiser of the year.
Besides a plate of spaghetti and meatballs, diners will be served Italian bread, salad, ice tea, coffee, or lemonade, and may choose from a wonderful variety of desserts.
Donna Ceresoli Bickelhaupt will be busy making her famous gorganzola tossed salad, and her Dad, Don Ceresoli, as usual, will be hard at work serving his spaghetti and meatball dinner.
The Ceresoli name is a familiar one in Morristown. Don and Pat Ceresoli bought the Harbor Inn in 1975. Until their retirement more than five years ago, most evenings much of the Ceresoli family could be found working down on the waterfront at The Harbor Inn.
Ten years ago, Don and Pat felt the desire to "give back" to the people of Morristown, and started the annual spaghetti dinner as a thank you for the community's patronage over the years. Sadly, Pat Ceresoli died two years ago, but her memory lives on through her annual dinners.
