OGDENSBURG -- The Choral Union of Notre Dame Church and Saint Mary’s Cathedral choirs are presenting a celebration of lessons and carols at Saint Mary's Cathedral.
The event will be Dec. 13 at 7 p.m., directed and accompanied by Christopher Gould.
“The tradition dates to 1878 at Truro Cathedral in England, but the original liturgy has since been adapted and used by other churches all over the world,” a statement from the choir says. “One of the most popular Lessons and Carols services happens each year at King’s College in Cambridge and is broadcast worldwide on many public radio stations.”
