The Catholic Parishes of St. Mary’s in Waddington and St. John the Baptist in Madrid are hosting events and services for Lent.
It begins on Feb. 10 with Ash Wednesday. Mass times and the distribution of ashes are 8:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s and 5:30 p.m. at St. John’s.
On Tuesdays, a Bible study will be offered at St. John’s at 10 a.m.
On Wednesdays beginning Feb. 17 at St. Mary’s, a simple meal of bread and soup will be served at 5:15 p.m. to be followed by stations of the cross at 6 p.m. and Mass at 6:30 p.m.
Each Friday during Lent, starting on Feb. 12, there will be stations of the cCross at St. John’s at 5:15 p.m.
On the second weekend of the month, confessions will take place following the 4:30 p.m. Mass at St. John’s and after the 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Mary’s.
Mass is regularly celebrated each weekend at St. John’s on Saturday 4:30 p.m. and Sunday 8:30 a.m. and St. Mary’s on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
The church says they invite all to attend.
