CANTON -- The Carson Brown Bag Lunch Series will continue Thursday, May 23 at the St. Lawrence County Historical Association, 3 East Main St., at noon with Kay Denesha Peggs’ discussion of her brothers’ disappearance June 7, 1944.
Lieutenant John “Jack” Denesha went missing in action during the D-Day invasion while piloting a mustang fighter plane on a combat mission over France.
A year later he was officially declared dead by the War Department. Sixty years later Peggs tracked down her brother’s final resting place. Bring your own lunch. A beverage and dessert will be provided.
