Canton Yoga Loft to offer four new classes in March

CANTON – The Canton Yoga Loft, Maplewood, 205 State Street Rd., will offer four new classes under the direction of two new teachers Efrat Ezra and Somendra Pant.

Chair yoga will be offered on Mondays from 3 to 4 p.m. from March 3-31. The cost is $40 for the five-week session. Drop-ins are $10 each class. To register, contact Ellie Beeler at 347-2401 or ebeeler@tds.net.

Chair yoga brings the benefits of yoga to those with physical mobility limitations. The chair is used for seated postures and to assist in balance and support during standing postures. The class works to improve balance, strength, flexibility and concentration. Beginners are welcome.

Little lotus yoga for children will be held on Tuesdays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. from March 4 to April 29. The cost is $75 for the first child and $50 for a second child. Drop-ins are $12 for first child and $8 for a second child. Class size is limited to 10, so contact Sarah Scafidi-McGuire at 767-0927 or ncyoga@gmail.com for availability. The class is designed for toddlers and preschoolers with their caregivers. Kids will do yoga poses, free dance, songs, stories and relaxation techniques.

Kayakalpa yoga classes begin on March 4 and run from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. The class teaches yoga postures, meditation, breathing exercises and wholesome eating habits to keep the body-mind fit, healthy, and happy. All skill levels welcome. The class costs $66 for six classes and $108 for 12 classes. Drop-ins are $15 per session. To register, contact Somendra Pant at 261-4750 or somendrapant@yahoo.com.

Restorative yoga classes will be held each Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. The cost for six classes is $66 and $108 for 12 classes. Drop-ins are $15 for each class. Classes focus on gentle restorative poses for optimization of posture, strength and flexibility. All proceeds from this Restorative Yoga class will benefit the Yoga Loft directly as the instructor has donated her time. To register, contact Efrat Ezra at 261-3442 or efratezra@gmail.com
