POTSDAM – Canton-Potsdam Hospital’s Center for Cancer Care’s Breast Cancer Support Group will meet Sept. 9, from 4:30 until 6 p.m. in the second floor classroom, 50 Leroy St.
Approximately one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during her lifetime.
In the U.S., breast cancer deaths are the second highest cause of cancer deaths behind lung cancer. According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is also the second most commonly diagnosed cancer amongst American women, following skin cancer.
The support group is open to all who are survivors of breast cancer, from the newly diagnosed to those who’ve been in remission many years. For more info, contact Jackie at 261-5935 or jgreen@cphospital.org.
