POTSDAM -- Canton-Potsdam Hospital’s celiac disease support group will meet Monday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. in the second floor classroom at 50 Leroy St.
Anyone is welcome, especially those individuals living with celiac and those caring for loved-ones with the disease. Participants are encouraged to share recipes, as well as coping recommendations and experiences as they feel comfortable.
Bev Rascoe, RN, and celiac support group moderator, will speak on advances and treatments in celiac disease management.
“When celiac sufferers make the switch to a gluten-free diet, most experience improvement quite soon after making the switch. When managed, celiac disease should not stop anyone from living a full and productive life”, says Rascoe.
