POTSDAM -- Canton-Potsdam Hospital marks November as lung cancer awareness month and to commemorate that, the CPH Center for Cancer Care is hosting “Shine a Light on Lung Cancer” on Nov. 20 5 p.m. in the center's front lobby.
“Shine a Light on Lung Cancer” is a national event in its sixth year, with 200 events taking place across the U.S., according to CPH.
Lung cancer survivors will share their stories and attendees can learn about new advancements in treatment and participate in the lighting of the flashlights.
There will be refreshments, giveaways and information.
Participants are encouraged to register online, with an option to purchase a “Shine a Light” t-shirt at a reduced cost.
