POTSDAM -- Canton-Potsdam Hospital’s The Birthplace’s Childbirth classes will begin Feb. 22, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Helen Snell Cheel Medical Campus Community Room.
This session will include information on recognizing the start of labor, the mechanisms of labor, what to expect in labor and delivery, natural pain management, medication options for labor pain management, complications of labor and delivery, post-natal baby care, post-partum maternal care, a tour of The Birthplace, and infant CPR for parents.
The classes run twice weekly for five weeks, with the next session to begin on April 11.
All expecting parents or partners of an expecting mother are welcome, and classes are free of charge.
