CANTON -- Photographer Dawn Davison of Davison Point Photography, LLC is offering free  photo shoots of special needs children.

Special needs include autism, Asperger syndrome, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, muscular dystrophy, severe brain injury and the like. Parents of childfen with ADD and ADHA are asked to apply at another time.

The first photo shoot is planned for Sunday, Sept. 11, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Heritage Park, East Main St.

“Photo shoots with most children are often a challenge,” Davison said. “When that child doesn’t understand simple commands or doesn’t respond, the task can be daunting, however these children are the most loved photo subjects of all for me.”

Reservations for a 25-minute photo shoot will be accepted on a first come first served basis by contacting bonnieaustin390@gmail.com and confirmation will be emailed to the subject's parent or guardian.

A digital copy of one or more of the photos will be emailed to the subject's parent or guardian following the shoot.

Davison has been a professional photographer in Renssalaer Falls, for several years. Her favorite subjects are infants, special needs children, families, and pets.

Her studio is located at 380 Hitchcock Rd, Rensselaer Falls. To learn more call 528-4805.
