CANTON -- Canton Free Library’s Summer Reading Program, “Make a Splash @ Your Library,” will begin the second week of July and continue for four weeks.

Children ages 18 months to 12 years are invited for great books, crafts, games, music and fun. Participants will explore everything from ponds to pirates and bubbles to beaches.

Children age 18 to 35 months with a caregiver will meet at either 9:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. on Thursdays; 3- and 4-year-olds with a caregiver will meet Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.; 5- and 6-year-olds meet Tuesdays at 1 p.m.; 7- and 8-year-olds meet Tuesdays at 3 p.m.; 9- to 12-year-olds meet Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m.; and special all-ages events will take place Thursdays at 2 p.m.

This year the program will feature a naturalist from the Zoo at Thompson Park, a musician, the second annual Summer Reading Pet Show and a “Books at the Beach” event at Taylor Park.

Registration for all age group sessions is required and space is limited. Visit the children’s room at the library to pick up a calendar and register.
