CANTON -- The registration deadline for Canton Free Library’s summer reading program is June 24.
The theme for this year’s program is “Dig into Reading” and involves programs about dinosaurs, earthmoving machines, gardening and underground animals. Sessions will begin the second week in July and continue through the first week of August. Kids age 18 to 35 months will meet at 10 a.m.
Thursdays, three to four year olds will meet Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and five to six year olds will meet Tuesdays 1 p.m.
Seven to eight year olds will meet Tuesdays at 3 p.m., nine to 12 year olds will meet Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. and an all ages event will be held Thursdays at 2 p.m. The library will also offer a Thompson Park Zoo program, a “Books at the Beach” event at Taylor Park, the fifth annual pet show and a comedy juggling show.
