CANTON – The First Presbyterian Church on the Park is offering a “Kid’s Art Academy,” Tuesdays and Saturdays for two sessions during the months of January, February and March. Currently there are six artists offering 14 different age-appropriate classes for kids 3 to 18 years old.
Classes include: Paper Pizzazz, Sew and Stuff your own Animal, Wire Art Workshop, Drawing and Painting, Winter Fun Crafts, Leather Working Fun, Beauty and the Bead, Arts Around the World, Print-Paint-Play and Decorate your Sneakers.
The Kid’s Art Academy is open to all children in the North Country simply for the artistic enrichment of kids in our community; there is absolutely no religious content to any of the classes.
It is the church’s hope to provide this opportunity to any child who would wish it; scholarship money is available! Brochures and registrations forms are being distributed within the community, can be viewed and downloaded from www.ChurchOnThePark.org and are available in the church foyer or by contacting 386-2570, Office@ChurchOnThePark.org.
Contact Art Academy director Edith Frazer with any questions, or Rev. Mike Catanzaro for information about scholarship opportunities. Both may be reached through the church office.
