CANTON – Canton Central School will present the musical “Cinderella” March 20-22 at the Hugh C. Williams High School auditorium.

Rodgers & Hammerstein's musical retelling of the classic fairy tale stars Cinderella (Morgan Rosser) as a beautiful girl forced to do all of the menial tasks in the home she shares with her coldhearted stepmother (Rachel Moses) and stepsisters (Madison O’Shea and Anna Monroe).

One day Cinderella encounters a handsome traveler (Isaac Ballard), not realizing that he is the Prince of the kingdom.

Shortly thereafter, the King (Noah Writesel) and Queen (Macy Huntley) invite every young maiden in the kingdom to a royal ball so that the crown prince can find a girl to marry. Cinderella's stepmother and stepsisters go to the ball, leaving Cinderella behind to wish about how her life could be.

While she is daydreaming, she is visited by her Fairy Godmother (Kiersten Larrabee), who makes it possible for her wishes to come true.

The magic happens March 20 and 21 at 7:30 p.m., and continues March 22 for a 2 p.m. matinee. Ticket prices are $10 for general admission and $7 for students/seniors.
