RUSSELL --Canton and Potsdam residents have been selected to star in “Stealing the Packard” Friday, Aug. 2 and Saturday, Aug. 3 at the Russell Opera House at 7:30 p.m.
“Uncle Ben” regales his audience with the tale of a 1952 Packard for an astronomical price.
Carole Berard, Canton, will star as “Ruth,” a recent widow. Libby Brandt, Canton, will play neighbor “Emma.”
Morgan Hastings, Canton, will play Ruth’s entrepreneur son. Luke Frazer, also of Canton, will play Ruth’s teenage grandson. Kimberly Busch of Potsdam will play “Christie,” Ruth’s daugher.
Brian Watson, Canton, will appear as “Byron,” a wealthy collector of packards.
Dorothy Mallam of Canton will direct.
Tickets will be $6 at the door. The proceeds will benefit the Russell Theater restoration.
