POTSDAM -- The Campus Community Band will present a concert at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 15 in Hosmer Concert Hall at SUNY Potsdam.
The band is comprised of SUNY Potsdam and Clarkson University students as well as community musicians.
The concert will begin with a pre-concert talk by guest conductor Kevin Mixon, who composed "Ugandan Festival," one of the four pieces being performed.
His piece was written in honor of the Acholi children who use music as an escape from the hardships of daily life in war-torn Uganda.
The concert is free, and open to the public.
