POTSDAM – Canton-Potsdam Hospital’s Physical Rehabilitation Department will offer six-week strength and training programs for seniors beginning in January at its Helen Snell Cheel Medical Campus, 49 Lawrence Ave.
The programs will begin Jan. 13 and will last 12 sessions over a six-week period from noon to 1 p.m. on Monday and Wednesdays.
The program allows professionals to monitor participants and provide corrective guidance that supports safe, injury-free strength training while improving balance.
Participants will take part in a brief health evaluation to allow the therapists to better gauge healthy activity levels or limitations.
The program is open for seniors age 60 and up and costs $60.
For seniors enrolled in the Hospital’s Fitness Forever program, the cost is $30. To enroll or learn more, contact Matt Akins at 261-5460.
