POTSDAM -- Brooke Rouse of the Small Business Development Center at SUNY Canton will teach two classes at the St. Lawrence Council of Arts to help artists develop the marketing side of their businesses.
Rouse will host classes April 5, 12 at 10 a.m. to discuss how artists can determine appropriate pricing for the work they create. She’ll help students define costs behind getting their products to their intended market.
On June 5, 12 at 5:30 p.m. Rouse will offer a class to help artists identify target markets, determine appropriate marketing strategies, and begin designing a budget for marketing their business.
Classes are $15, or $10 for SLC Arts members. Classes meet at Downtown Snell Hall, 41 Elm St, room 230 and pre-registration is at 265-6860 or www.slcartscouncil.org.
