WADDINGTON -- A press conference is planned for Monday, June 3, at the Waddington Town Hall, 48 Maple St., to discuss and answer questions about the Bassmaster Elite Series tournament in Waddington Aug. 8 – 11.
Expected to be in attendance are representatives of the Waddington planning group (Bob Giordano, Don Meissner, Jo Ann Roberts), local bass anglers Chris Flint and Fred Morrill, St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce CEO Pat McKeown, Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce Director Sandra Porter, Massena Chamber of Commerce Director Michael Gleason, and "Business of Bassmaster" workshop leader Ruby Sprowls.
They plan to discuss opportunities for local businesses and upcoming workshops for businesses.
Sprowls is conducting free workshops for businesses in Ogdensburg on June 5 at the Dobisky Center, June 12 at the Village of Potsdam Community Room, and June 19 at the Community Room in the Massena Chamber of Commerce offices. All are from 1 to 4 p.m. To reserve a spot, call the County Chamber at 386-4000.
The conference is being hosted live by Community Broadcasters on News/Talk 92.7 WQTK FM and ESPN1400 AM from noon to 12:30 p.m.
