The St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce will hold a series of free informational classes on “The Business of Bassmaster” in anticipation of the Bassmaster Elite Series.
The Bassmaster Series will be held in Waddington Aug. 8 to Aug. 11.
The first class will be in Ogdensburg Wednesday, June 5 from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Dobisky Center, 100 Riverside Ave.
Another class will be held in Potsdam at the Village of Potsdam community room, 18 Elm St., second Floor, Wednesday, June 12 from 1 to 4 p.m.
Massena’s class will be held June 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. location to be announced later.
Ruby Sprowls, a marketing specialist, will talk about the Bassmaster Series, the needs of visiting angler, good customer service and developing a return-customer philosophy.
“We’re expecting thousands of visitors to our county in August,” said Pat McKeown, executive director of the chamber.
“The chamber feels strongly that the way to maximize this golden opportunity is to provide as much information as possible to our businesses so they can capitalize on the opportunities being offered,” McKeown said.
“We want to make sure we are ready to showcase what we have and who we are,” said McKeown.
